Life's Bittersweet Goodbyes!
In life's music, some farewells sound louder than
others. It's sad and true that as we get older, saying goodbye to the
things we know becomes a complicated mix of feeling nostalgic for old times and
having to start something new. Come with me on this feelings trip in the
parts of goodbyes. Here, childhood not-innocence goes away but we have memories
and learning to show for it.
As we go through time, the memories of being a child stay like a loved song. In the beginning, we wanted to feel young again and thought growing up would always bring freedom. We didn't know that saying goodbye to childhood would be a big clue, realizing how light the school bags we used to complain about were compared with the heavy things in life. Afternoon naps, which used to seem like a punishment, now remind us of carefree times. The ease of school breaks, when we dream about spending more time at grandma's house turns into a longing for those special moments. Now as grown-ups, we try to get away from holidays and find brief breaks in busy weekends. In the memories of days gone by, late trains from old times stand for our changing thoughts. Wishing for things to be different in the past, today we wish for them to happen a little sooner. The trip shows how busy life is, and then time which used to be troublesome becomes something nice we want more of.
As time keeps moving forward, the idea of getting
older changes from just passing years into a deep exploration of ourselves. Getting
old is often seen as just a stage, but it's more about saying goodbye to
moments while having fun with the changing you.

In life's big picture, saying goodbye tells a complicated story. Every goodbye is like a paint stroke, coloring the picture of our life with feelings happy and sad. It helps us to grow too. It's a way to admit that even though we move on from times, they hang out in our memory. They change who we are becoming.
So, let's accept the sad song of goodbyes - it tells our story and helps us find out what has happened before, is now happening, and can happen in the future. Looking at it from the point of saying goodbye, we see beauty in changes. There is a lovely rhythm to endings and hope for future starts that always follow them up later on.
